Personal Health Update and other Testimonials

It has now been just over two months since I've began ingesting the Genesis and Ultra Vitality. It is really hard to tell people about the product because everytime I hear somebody talk about an illness or ailment that they or someone they know are experiencing I say "You need some Genesis." And so maybe they don't believe me that yes it does help with just about everything you can think of. For me, like I wrote about a month ago, it has pretty much wiped out my chronic fatigue symptoms, has improved my eyesight (verified by my recent prescription on July17) and got rid of the floaters and eye strain that were causing my headaches. Not to mention that I finally feel like I am slimming down a little bit around my middle, even though other people have been commenting on that for weeks, I am just now starting to notice that for myself. Actually, my grandmother started on the products and dropped about 15 pounds within the first couple weeks. And I would say that her skin and hair looked better and even her eyes were a little brighter. I have not seen her since, but will report back after I get together with her this weekend. AND speaking of grandmother's, Symmetry's Director of Field Services has told me about his grandmother who is 95 years old and has been taking the Symmetry nutrition for several years now and she is not on any medication and does not have any pain in her body - that is pretty amazing for a 95 year old lady!

Now back to me, I haven't blogged about these next two items before because it is a little personal, but then I decided to share it because it may be helpful to other people out there. I don't know if this is considered Irritable Bowel Syndrome or not, but it has been brought up a couple times by physicians when I let them know about my symptoms, but again like I mentioned in my previous post, because these symptoms were "normal" for me and I was young it really wasn't given that much attention. So anyway, to sum it up I would say that diarrhea has been my norm since at least mid-high school, possibly earlier but I can't say for sure. I remember having hot dogs at a friend's house and it immediately went through me and that was sort of when I really started to pay attention to the effects of everything that I was eating. I have had ulcers and unexplainable abdominal pain in the past and these were either cleared up through a Master Cleanse or acupuncture, but the diarrhea always persisted (actually there is a young man that works in my office who has had ulcers for 17 of his 26 years and he started taking the nutrition and within a matter of weeks his ulcers were cleared up and he was able to drink soda for the first time in a very long time!).

NOW, however, I am happy to report that my GI tract seems to be regulated. For the first 2 weeks on the Genesis and Ultra Vitality I really started clearing things out, if you know what I mean. And since then it has been smoooooth sailing, literally. Everything comes out nicely packaged, if you know what I mean about that too.

I do have another story for you as well, but I think I will let you all digest (pun intended) this one first, before moving onto the other highly important yet very different subject of breast health.

Truly Live Well Longer

The following is an email between myself and the Director of Field Services at Symmetry. I was in attendence at a presentation he gave at a company workshop, where he described his elderly grandmother of 95 years old as not being on any medication or in any pain. Thank Goodness the Genesis is Here!

Oh Happy Day! In case you missed it, I wrote in yesterday about how I had cut-back on Genesis and I was preserving it until I received my next shipment. Luckily, I found a partial bottle that I had left at my office so I started getting back on track yesterday afternoon. And once again, I was up and at em nice and early this morning and with very little effort I seriously jumped out of bed.

There are also a couple of the other things that I have noticed changing, which I have not yet mentioned:

- My sesamoid bone (little bone on the ball of your foot that keeps the tendon running to your big toe in-line) has been fractured for the last 5 years. In fact, just this past April I had another x-ray taken before I ordered my orthotics because it was in constant pain and I decided to finally do something about it. My podiatrist agreed with the 2 orthopedic surgeons, whom I had seen in the first couple years after it happened, that the only option to fix it would be to have surgery and actually remove it altogether because it will never heal. The main options for dealing with the pain are to wear orthotics (which only fit in tennis shoes - so no cute shoes for me unless I want to deal with the pain) or to have Cortisol shots, which have their own unpleasant side effects. And so long story short - I have not felt any pain in at least 2 weeks now, regardless if I am wearing my orthotics or not. And I really have not been wearing them since it started getting warm outside because I like to wear my flip-flops and other flats. Next time I go in for a check up, I am seriously considering having another xray taken to see if it has fused back together because it honestly no longer feels like it is fractured.

- Two days ago I noticed my pooch of a belly is looking flat. That's all I have to say about that :O)

- Also, my 70 year old grandma has reported 15lbs of weight loss in the last couple weeks. At the same time that she started taking 4oz of Genesis each day, she also started using more low-sodium recipes, which may have a little bit to do with it, but I don't know anyone else who has struggled with weight for many years to lose that much poundage in 2 weeks simply by lowering their sodium intake. I have not seen her yet since she started the program, but her step-daughter told me to get an "after" picture because she claims she has never known my grama to look so good. "Her skin and hair look great. She is glowing!"

- Finally, I had twisted my ankle on April 1 (moving day) and have had to wear an ankle brace everyday for 2 & 1/2 months. Even by doing that and icing and taking Advil, my ankle still throbbed if I took the dog for a short walk or drove too many miles. I was given a 30 day supply of Symmetry's Glucosamine (thanks Angie!) and after taking it for 5 days my ankle feels completely healed! To someone who has been gimping around for a long time now it was absolutely amazing when I realized I was no longer in pain!

A Little Bit of Reversion = A Little Proof

This past weekend I headed to Chicago on Friday morning and I had about 1 oz of Genesis since my bottle was getting low I wanted to preserve it and decided that I since my cells may be "saturated" by now I could try to cut back. However, I also did not bring any along with me on my trip and realized that on Saturday afternoon, I was starting to drag a little - not terribly, but definitely a different feeling than I had been having since getting on the Genesis Saturation Program (1 -32 oz bottle a week). So I borrowed a little from someone else at the convention, and only took a 1 oz serving around 5pm, which perked me up a little bit, and then again Sunday morning 1 more ounce, which got me through that day.

Yesterday, Monday, I took another 1 oz serving and started yawning again around 3pm so I took another shot and made it through the rest of the day feeling better. The biggest difference, however, was this morning. I am now back to forcing myself out of bed at the very latest possible minute before I had to get up and get ready. Additionally, I have noticed my foggy brain syndrome return a little and the charlie horses and cramping in my calves and feet returned a little bit.

Needless to say I am anxiously awaiting my next order to arrive and I will begin upping my dosage again - perhaps instead of 4oz each day, I will try 3oz. Not that it really makes a difference to me since it tastes so good and I love drinking it. My grama and step-grandpa have even made this their happy hour drink now that they can't have actual alcohol due to health concerns. I also had cut down on my red wine consumption last month since I just replace my daily glass with the Genesis and I am now getting the standardized amount of resveratrol that they put in each serving so I know this is truly helping my heart, circulation, and brain functioning as well as getting me lots of compliments on my skin and hair. And heck, the cost will be worth it if I hardly ever get sick again or don't have to take pharmaceuticals for anything again. Even when I have insurance and I go to the doctor the bills have always been more than I ever expect them to be.

Wellness Progress

It has now been 18 days since I began my saturation period with the Genesis and Ultra Vitality nutritional drinks from Symmetry Corp. Have I felt a difference? Well, about 3 days ago, I pretty much jumped out of bed before about an hour and a half before the alarm went off (5:30AM) and made a full breakfast, played with the dog, wrote in my journal, did dishes, made a homemade lunch to take to work, etc etc. Could have been a fluke, except it happened again the next day. And that day I scrubbed the bathroom, did laundry and a bunch of other little household chores all before taking a shower and getting ready for work. And again this morning I was up and at 'em only I decided to just relax a little, after all it is Friday.

Now maybe there are some of you out there that do this kind of thing everyday or are at least able to get out of bed no problem at 5:30AM, however, for me I typically set my alarm as late as I possibly can and still hit snooze a few times and basically have to use all of my bodily force to sort of roll myself off the bed and sluggishly walk to the door to let Tatonka outside and then shuffle back to the bathroom to "hurry up" and get ready for work.

Okay so maybe that is no big deal either for the people who are slow to get up perhaps you can still accomplish all you would like to do and more at the end of your day. But again, I am just comparing this to how I was not even a few short weeks ago. If I had something planned after work, it was really hard for me to get through it and then I would have to come home and crash and if I was out past 8:30 - 9PM I would almost be falling asleep on the way home. Plus I usually do my best to only schedule 1 or 2 evenings worth of activities during the week because I seriously would not have the energy to do anymore than that.

Now this past week, I had commitments everyday after work that lasted until 9PM or later and still came home and was able to stay up and read or watch a movie or do whatever. I don't know if this sounds like much to some of you, but for me, someone who has been called an old lady by her friends more times than is healthy for a 32 year old, that is a pretty major task (plus I have been told by a couple doctors that I most likely have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or something similar, which basically means there is nothing they can do for me besides tell me to live with it). The only other thing in the past that has seemed to help me with CFS type symptoms was acupuncture.

My boyfriend who also started taking the Genesis and Ultra Vitality at the same time has reported more energy. I have also noticed that he seems a little more "vibrant." Plus, he seems to have more stubble at the end of the day - bad for him, but good for me :O)

And one more major breakthrough! My mother actually complimented me like 4 times in a row the other day. As I was getting ready to leave she looked at me and said " You look younger." Then " You look healthier." And " Your hair looks better and your skin too." And finally, "You look thinner." Compliments from my mother don't come easy - so I was impressed!

Is Resveratrol Good for What Ails Ya?

The makers of Genesis and Ultra Vitality, "The Dynamic Duo" make a lot of claims when it comes to the benefits of their products. So what I am going to be assessing for myself over the next few months, will include the following ailments/chronic states of being:

Genesis Day One

Yesterday was my first full day on the Genesis and Ultra Vitality first month "saturation" plan. Not sure that I have noticed too much of an effect as of yet, other than the fact that instead of coming home from work and zonking out on the couch I proceeded to do the laundry, vacuum, mop, wash dishes, cook dinner, play with the dog, make a quiche and a loaf of banana bread, scoop dog doo, take out the trash, separate the recycling and water my plants. And that was with having at most half of my normal caffeine intake throughout the day. Perhaps, it was psychosomatic. I had less sleep last night so we'll see if I notice a difference between today and yesterday. For now I am feeling pretty average.
